Significant improvements in strain gauge temporary carrier
We’re happy to share a small, yet meaningful improvement we’ve recently made to our strain gages.
After months of testing and feedback from our users, we’ve transitioned to 𝐚 𝐭𝐰𝐨-𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫. It holds the gage grid more securely, makes it easier to remove from the packaging, and stays flexible enough 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on most parts.
We’re also working on a new frame-type temporary carrier (photo attached) — 𝐢𝐭 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 during transfer, giving even better stability. And if you need to mount a gage in a tight spot, the upper part of the frame can be easily trimmed with a scalpel before installation, turning it into the classic horseshoe shape.
